BRODY LAW GROUP represents clients in both state and federal courts throughout the State of New York. We have developed a varied general liability, construction and premises practice. The firm also defends “big box” retailers and property owners in various general liability and premises actions, from the garden variety “slip and fall”, to serious and complex construction related accidents.

In addition, as part of the firm’s long standing reputation in the handling of complex personal injury and products liability cases, we currently defend an asbestos manufacturer in New York’s asbestos litigation plan. The firm was also involved in the complex litigation arising out of the destruction of the World Trade Center, obtaining a summary judgment dismissing claims against its client.

BRODY LAW GROUP provides services to the clients and insurance companies it represents with respect to contractual rights and insurance coverage issues, including the institution of declaratory judgment actions. The firm recognizes that the issues concerning the determination of contractual rights and insurance coverage are just as important as evaluating the merits of the underlying claim, itself.

The firm also provides extensive litigation counseling to our corporate clients in general business matters. Our partners have litigated RICO, Petroleum Marketing Practices Act and Death on the High Seas Act matters, as well as franchising disputes in state and federal courts. We provide both corporate and litigation partners to meet and confer with clients so that litigation and non-litigation solutions are provided both for the resolution of existing claims as well as the planning of future strategy.

Every case handled by our firm is treated as though it will eventually proceed to trial. Our initial analysis examines potential strengths and weaknesses, and all areas for contribution or indemnification by other parties. This allows the firm and its clients to develop a comprehensive litigation strategy at inception. The litigation strategy is then updated throughout the course of the case by our detailed discovery procedures and thorough reporting.
